I'm fed up. I move my 360 upstairs into the back bedroom and my Airport and router can't read it with a borrowed Microsoft Xbox Wireless Adapter. It did first time but playing CoD4 was like wading through setting concrete.
Half an hour of trying to get CoD4 to find a m/p room and I was ready to kill. Apparently a wireless router will sort all that out but I have no idea how to access my ancient BT router for the passwords to fix up a wireless router. We'll see how it goes. In the mean time, there's no Xbox Live and I'm bored.

There are a couple of options...One is a wireless router, and the other is a 'powerline' network...
I've gone the wireless router option, and you should need to access your old router if you've still got the details of your Internet Service Provider and account handy.
I do know someone who has invested in a powerline network (Distributing your broadband via the electricity network/plug sockets in your house). He does have the occasional lag/latency, but he's also got quite a high speed BB connection...
Thanks for that Dan! A friend of mine mentioned the broadband through the power supply, but I think I might have solved it last night after creating a wired Xbox set-up and having the Airport linked close by. The laptop reads the Airport loud and clear downstairs. Game on!
